Mehdi Arshed

Prolific mover and shaker Mehdi Arshed is known as “Golden Boy” for his prowess dancing in every setting possible; as an internationally-traveling professional, hosting and competing in breaking battles, performing onstage at Electric Forest, as a respected educator and community leader with Motor City Street Dance Academy, in music videos, with his Detroit-based crew B.A.D. (Battle Attack Destroy), or for the pure joy of it, on cardboard or in his living room. An enthusiast of all things dance and Detroit, Mehdi has led classes for students of all ages and talents, as well as contributing to Local 4 News Detroit broadcasts as a commentator. After Arshed contributed the main vocal hook to “Move to the Beat” by the Blisters Boyz, the Belzebass Remix of the track was featured in the Netflix original series Jupiter’s Legacy, leading to the song becoming an international club staple. Years after one of his first recordings became an uncredited international hit, Mehdi is launching his musical comeback with the help of Underflow Records. Nothing can stop Golden Boy.
